There’s a moral to every story, but who wants morals tripping them up?

Don’t worry, this story has only a warning.

A man,

Who lived by, ‘everything must bring enjoyment’,

had many friends who loved to be around “Mr. Fun”.

But when they were not fun to him,

the gate closed without mercy, without a second glance.

He focused on just what brought joy, or at least promised joy ahead.

So what happened?

He got shoved by a bigger man and fell to his demise.

Warning, when walking life, don’t forget to look at those behind you.

See, no moral.

Hope this little tale gives you reason to smile. Maybe you know a Mr. (Or Ms) Fun. There’s always danger in hanging onto someone’s narcissistic charisma web. But if you do, and you’re left in their dust one day, know that there’s always another Mr or Ms with a bigger foot than them.

May all your friends be true,

Best, Clare

Moral, don’t turn your back on those you’ve offended.

2nd try on commenting: I enjoyed the texture of your story. There is danger in being left in the dust but also danger when you do the leaving. Apropot title.

I like how you bookended this with breaking the 4th wall, Claire. And an interesting story in the middle too. Nicely done!
