Kelsey played Victor’s last words in her head.
“There’s a right way to do this which will take time. Maybe more than you have.”
“Or?”
“You can always do it the quick way. You’ll arrive safely but you’ll lose some irreplaceable resources in the process.”
By resources he meant people. Smart people. Good people. Joe who with one look could make her feel hopeful.
“And if I run out of time?”
“Well, if the calculations are off, you could still make it. If they’re shorted, no one will be alive to grieve.”
Kelsey lined up her tools.
Time to choose.
It’s 100 words of a story that does not exist. That’s the beauty of a 100 word challenge. This one comes from Rochelle-Wisoff’s Friday Fictioneer Photo Challenge and the photo is hers! I hope you like what I’ve done with it! Here’s wishing that you don’t face a choice that involves life and death for others! Best, Clare

Don’t forget my novel “Kill Words” is posting, episode by episode on Kindle Vella. Buy Vella tokens in Amazon (cheapest rates). Here’s the link: https://www.amazon.com/kindle-vella/story/B0D2FVG7J9
It’s a New Adult / Suspense/ Good girl grows up story with twists and turns you will never see coming.
You can read first chapters at no cost, but it will help my ratings in Kindle Vella so your time in reading is very much appreciated! Many thanks, Clare.
