“Now pay attention.

There’s two things to remember to get this right.

One, pull only the silver cord.

That one brings the whole thing down like a giant claw.”

“What’s the second thing teacher?”

“Wait for the right quarry.

The goal is max life energy.”

Pause.

“Oh Wow! Isn’t this beautiful. The lights are so gorgeous.

I can do this. I have vintage lights, I have fabric. Yessss! A project for the new year.”

Click.

Muffled scream.

“Did I do good teacher?”

“Yes, but next time get both. Even the one who rolled their eyes. Judgement has high energy too.”

I know, it’s Christmas time and posts should be filled with holiday cheer. But you all seem to like the creepy posts best, soooo, enjoy with some rum laden egg nog that will invite the sugar plums back to your dreams instead of scary alien traps.

This week’s Friday Fictioneers at Rochelle Wisoff’s photo prompt challenge was provided by Sandra Crook. It’s a captivating perspective isn’t it? Lol.

Wishing all humans a dose of Christmas cheer ! It is an all inclusive holiday really. The birth of Jesus was a gift to all mankind so the joy of the season should be too!

Then we can all hold our breaths and wonder what 2025 will bring.

That has to be the most ‘off the wall’ story of the week! Well done.

    Dear Clare,

A lesson in never being too quick to roll the eyes. 😉 Happy Christmas.

Yes, it does look like it could eat someone and I judged it, too.
