What boy would not like a day at the ballpark?
“We’ll get hotdogs, popcorn, scream and yell. It will be great.”
“Are you sure?” Geoff’s wife Sue asked . “I haven’t seen him kick that soccer ball you left in the yard.”
He had to do something. Eight year old Brad had been with them a week already and still didn’t talk.
Finally at the ballpark, he spoke. He pointed to the upper deck.
“Looks like a dinosaur skeleton.”

We stayed a half hour then left for the museum Jurassic park exhibit.
That was the day we knew Brad accepted us.
Kids can be hard to figure out, especially those that aren’t ours and don’t talk. Today’s story applauds those who take in foster children and don’t give up on finding the ‘language’ the child speaks.
