It’s a funny story really.

“I need help”. That’s what my Facebook post said.

It was a timed challenge with my sister, maven of Insta-pot.

The recycle shop had an old pressure cooker without the ‘thingy’ on top.

“It’s here somewhere,” the shopkeeper claimed.

Friends showed up just like I asked to hunt with me.

He caught my eye with a flash of a smile.

“Do I know you?”

“I’m a believer in old school.”

“What?”

Then he held up the missing piece. “Do you have a good recipe?”

“Umm, no.”

That’s what happens when you post public by accident.

Ah, what a romantic start to something, although she seems less keen! A lovely story, thank you.

A wonderfully clever story, from the start to the twist at the end. Well done.

Oh, not an old pressure cooker! My mother used one, and I was always afraid of it! I went on to be a bit worried about air compressors too! The way they turn on unexpectedly, as you walk by!

I agree! I was afraid of my mother’s pressure cooker, how angry it sounded when the pressure was building!

Love this, what a cute and clever idea. I’ve not heard of insta pot before, I’ll have to google that! A nice twist with retail romance 🙂

Thanks! Insta- pot is in the middle of photo on top of the shelf while the old school pressure cooker is on the floor. Insta- pot is a pressure cooker that can be programmed to run so it can be loaded and left to do its thing without worry.
