How may I help you?

I’m looking for a new lease on life.

Smiling young man and woman running through a wildflower meadow with butterflies

That is available, but it will cost you.

What? I thought all I had to do was show up.

I’m glad you’ve reached this place, but to make the most of this new agreement, you need the right equipment.

What equipment?

You’ll need a few doses of hope, some disposal bags for disappointment, and high expectations, and if you’ve got any bundles of resentment or anger, they will need special handling by my team.

Can’t I just take this step and be happy?

Oh, if ‘happy’ is what you want, you don’t need a new lease.

Just keep your bank account full,

And keep buying stuff whenever happiness runs low.

I tried that. That’s not what I’m looking for. I want something that doesn’t change on me. That doesn’t leave me empty-handed when I need it most.

A forever lease?

Yes! Reliable. Certain. A life that’s secure. Joy and peace would be good too. Do you have that?

I do, but it will cost you. If you still want this new lease, step through the door. There’s an equipment package waiting for you on the other side.

Remind me, who are you?

I’m the one who brought you to this threshold.
