Invisible Isolation

The door closes with a soft click, didn’t expect it,

Didn’t plan it.

I’m alone.

I tell myself it’s okay, I like it better that way,

Live in my solitude,

Kiss a hundred wishes good bye,

Don’t listen to the silent sigh,

Just be chill,

Go about my tasks,

Dodge the questions my heart asks,

On the other side of the angry wall,

Let go, embrace the fall,

To the fractured view,

Of all that should be, but isn’t true.

Have faith that at the horizon it will suspend,

A day, a time, when unspoken pain will end.
