I Didn’t Mean That – 100 Words

I said if I could remember our vacation at the beach, my day would improve.

You gave me a vase filled with shells and sand for my desk.

I whispered that I could stand the cold with the right hat.

One hung on the hook with my coat, blue striped, softest Moreno wool.

The recipe listed cardamon, I crossed it off and wrote economical cinnamon.

Next day the former waited on the counter by the bowl I set out to make sweet bread.

How careful I must be around your love. One careless wish might send you to great peril.

  1. Enjoyed that little story, Claire! I recently received a packet of Cardamon tea in the mail from a dear friend. never heard of it before except in very old (1800’s era) literature. After reading this, I’m not so sure I want to brew it up. lol!

    1. I think maybe I needed 500 words to fully develop the thought which was that if she wasn’t careful she might mention wanting or needing something that her love would then risk his life to give her.
